Cutting and Sawing
Cut Technologies Unveils
Cermet-Tipped Saw Blades
Cut Technologies Metal LLC, Sumas, Wash., has introduced a new cermet-tipped circular saw blade for cutting metal with chop saws. The ColdCut 1000 saw blade can be used for cutting mild steel, aluminum or other metals.
The new blade lasts longer and cuts faster than traditional abrasive blades, while leaving an excellent surface finish, the company claims. It also outperforms carbide-tipped blades.

Trumpf Adds Resonator
to TruLaser 2030 Series
Trumpf, Farmington, Conn., has introduced the TruCoax 3200 laser resonator, the most recent beam source addition to the company’s TruLaser 2030 series of laser cutting machines. The machine was designed to combine high beam quality with low cost of operation.
The company claims the new, higher-power machine increases productivity through use of a stable no-moving parts design. It also features a diffusion-cooled, intense cutting beam in an ultra-compact footprint. The RF-excited TruCoax 3200 has increased cutting speeds up to 100 percent in certain materials compared to the TruCoax 2000.
The TruCoax 3200 is available in 48-inch by 96-inch, 48-inch by 120-inch and 60-inch by 120-inch working areas.

Multiple Plasma Torches
Among EdgeMax options
MG Systems and Welding Inc., Menomonee Falls, Wis., has introduced its new cutting machine, the EdgeMax. The machine was designed to offer unitized construction, multiple plasma torches and other options.
The EdgeMax takes up less space while retaining qualities of the company’s MetalMaster Plus machine. The unitized plasma-based machine enhances MG’s Edge series, which includes the EdgeMate and EdgeMaster plasma and oxyfuel cutting systems. The EdgeMax is offered in three models, the H for HVAC, blowpipe and OEM shops, the G for general fabrication shops and P for precision plasma.

Koike’s Versagraph Millennium
Improves Production Rates
Koike Aronson Inc., Arcade, N.Y., has introduced a new plasma machine to improve production rates in precision and high-output operations. The Versagraph Millennium features positioning accuracy of plus-minus 0.005-inch for reduced secondary operations and dual 3D link plasma contour bevel heads for improved production, Koike claims.
Digital servos on the machine gantry and 3D link bevel units improve dependability.
The Versagraph Millennium also features 360-degree, continuous rotation without damage to the torch leads, arc maintenance within .1 arc volts and magnetic torch breakaway collision detection.

Mitsubishi Adds Pallet
Changer to HV Series
Mitsubishi Laser, Wood Dale, Ill., has added a pallet changer to its HV machines to increase operator productivity by optimizing cutting time. The pallet changer acts as a second table that can be interchanged with the machine’s primary table, decreasing downtime between cutting.
The HV series incorporates features for improved productivity, processing quality and cost performance, Mitsubishi says. Productivity features include reduced secondary operations for faster turnaround and MC Diamond Soft CAD/CAM software that decreases setup and processing time. Improved features of the HV Series include faster processing speeds, increased machine tool rigidity and an advanced servo control system.
