Optima Purchases Niagara LaSalle

Optima Specialty Steel Inc., Miami, a portfolio company of Optima Acquisitions LLC, has acquired Niagara LaSalle Corp., Hammond, Ind. Niagara LaSalle is a specialty steel processor and manufacturer of engineered cold-finished steel bars.

Through the acquisition, Niagara LaSalle will become a significant part of Optima Specialty Steel along with Optima’s wholly owned subsidiary Michigan Seamless Tube LLC. MST is a specialty steel processor and independent manufacturer of precision-tolerance cold-drawn seamless tubes.

Kevin Stevick, Niagara LaSalle's current chief executive, will become CEO of Optima Specialty Steel.

We are confident in our ability to continue to cultivate Niagara LaSalle's leadership position in the cold-finished steel bar industry,” says Mordechai Korf, chairman of the board at Optima Specialty Steel.
