Shale-Inland to Integrate Main Steel, Metals Inc.

Shale-Inland Holdings LLC, Houston, will integrate its Main Steel Polishing Co. Inc. and Metals Inc. subsidiaries, creating a single organization within the company’s Fabrication and Distribution Services platform. The new business will operate as Main Steel.

The companies both specialize in flat products and metals processing. Shale-Inland officials say the two offer complementary geographies, with Main Steel operating in Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles and Pittsburgh, while Metals Inc. has facilities in Dallas, Houston, Mobile, Ala., and Tulsa, Okla.

“Both companies have great reputations and history in the high alloy metals markets,” says Rick Lundgren, CEO. “The combination of these eight locations provides us a strong national presence and the ability to go to market as a single business.”
