Lapham-Hickey Buys ISS

Lapham-Hickey Steel Corp. has purchased the assets of Industrial Spring Steel, Philadelphia. ISS, founded in 1958, is a supplier of high-carbon tempered and annealed spring steel, primarily to customers on the East Coast.

The acquisition of Industrial Spring Steel was made to strengthen Lapham-Hickey's presence and coverage on the East Coast and reinforce its position as a leading provider of high-carbon tempered and annealed spring steels throughout the country.

“We couldn't be more excited to welcome Industrial Spring Steel—their employees, customers and all partnerships—to the Lapham-Hickey family,” says Brian Hickey, who will assume the responsibilities of general manager for ISS in Philadelphia. “For over 85 years, supplying specialty strip and high-carbon spring steels has been at the core of our business. This acquisition will further enhance our product offering and service levels to our customers and the marketplace.”
