ATI to Close Finishing Facility in Connecticut
 
Allegheny Technologies plans to permanently close its flat-rolled products finishing facility in Wallingford, Conn., in mid-June due to poor economic conditions, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Thin specialty steel and alloy strip is processed at the rolling mill in Wallingford. The company maintains a tension leveler, atmosphere annealing furnaces and other finishing equipment at the site. Closure of the facility will result in approximately $9.2 million of pre-tax exit costs.
