Majestic Acquires Houston's Flatrolled Steel

Majestic Steel USA, a Cleveland-based flat-rolled specialist, has acquired the business and assets of Texas distributor Flatrolled Steel Inc. Flatrolled Steel has facilities in Houston, Dallas and Catoosa, Okla.

"We see this as an opportunity to expand our reach in the Southwest region, while continuing to support the existing business," says Majestic Steel President Todd Leebow.

Majestic's product offerings include prime flat-rolled steel sheets and coils including galvanized, galvannealed, galvalume, aluminized, cold-rolled and phosphatized/bonderized steel for a number of industries. The company ranked as the 26th largest service center in North America in the most recent Metal Center News Top 50 survey, with 2012 revenue of $425 million.
