Leeco to Open Tampa Facility

Leeco Steel will expand again with a new sales and distribution center in Tampa, Fla., to be fully operational by April. The facility marks Leeco's first location in Florida and 11th overall, and follows closely on the January announcement of plans for a new Houston operation.

"Our 2014 strategic plan targets specific geographic markets that align with our industry focus and growth projections," says Denton J. Nordhues, president and CEO of Lisle, Ill.-based Leeco Steel, a part of the O’Neal Industries Metals Group. "The Tampa distribution center will complement our other locations in the Southeast and will expand our coverage in the gulf region."

The existing 98,000-square-foot facility will be equipped for efficient distribution with drive-through bays and rail service.
