Yarde Takes Over Trident Location

Yarde Metals Inc., Southington, Conn., has assumed the operations and commercial activity of the Mansfield, Mass., location of Trident Metals. Yarde is a subsidiary of Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co.

"Trident has an excellent reputation in the market, and we are very excited to have the opportunity to continue supporting the business they've worked so hard to develop," says Matt Smith, Yarde president and chief operating officer.

Yarde is renovating the facility on Forbes Boulevard in Mansfield into another full-service branch location complete with a sales office, inventory and processing. The project was expected to be completed this month.

"The Massachusetts and Rhode Island markets have always been very important to Yarde. With this consolidation, I'm confident we can provide even better service to customers in the region," Smith adds.

Yarde Metals has 16 branch locations throughout the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest and South, where it stocks and processes aluminum, stainless, carbon steel and brass products.
