Nelson, Butech Partner on Pickle Line at Fulton County

Nelson Steel Consulting & Technology Group has partnered with Butch Bliss to build a push-pull pickling line at Fulton County Processing, Delta, Ohio. The project marks the 75th complete line Stoney Creek, Ontario-based Nelson Steel has engineered in its 45 years.

The new line will feature anti-coil break roll technology and will be capable of handling a maximum coil weight of 74,000 pounds. The maximum product width will be 72 inches with thicknesses ranging from 0.060 inch to 0.375 inch. The thickness capabilities will extend up to one-half inch at 50-inches wide. The new line will also feature a pre-wash system, four pickling tanks to reduce consumable cost on acid and gas consumption, and a four-stage rinse system.

Nelson Steel, a division of Samuel, Son & Co., Ltd., owns and operates pickling lines and provides pickling services. Salem, Ohio-based Butech Bliss is a manufacturer of coil processing equipment.
