Nucor, Charlotte, N.C., has promoted Chad Utermark, vice president and general manager of Nucor-Yamato Steel Co., to executive vice president of beam and plate products. Leon Topalian, vice president and GM of Nucor Steel Kankakee will replace Utermark at Nucor-Yamato.

James Dinning has been appointed chairman of the board of Mississauga, Ontario-based Russel Metals. He replaces Anthony Griffiths, who retired from the board in early May.

Bob Parker has been promoted to inside sales manager for the Southwest Region by O'Neal Steel Inc. He will be responsible for the territory that includes Dallas, Houston, Lafayette, La., and Little Rock, Ark.

Jim Barnthouse has been promoted from vice president of finance to chief financial officer of JDM Steel, Chicago Heights. Additionally, Gene Puk has been promoted to executive vice president of operations, overseeing all JDM facility management.

Sharon Gantenbein has joined Windsor, Conn.-based Aerodyne Alloys as an inside sales representative. She will be focused on the Northeast and Midwest regions.
