UPM Adds Nickel Plate, Equipment in Houston
 
United Performance Metals, Hamilton, Ohio, has increased its inventory of nickel plate product and added processing capabilities at its Houston facility.

UMP added alloys 20, 330, 400, 600, 601, 617, 625, 800H/HT, 825 and C-276 to its inventory of products in Houston. Additionally, the company has installed a second Messer 400 amp Metalmaster hi-definition plasma table and an AccuShear plate shear. The facility recently earned ISO 9001:2008 certification.

"The recent addition of inventory and processing equipment strengthens our commitment to be a leading source of specialty plate products for the customers and markets that we serve. We are dedicated to the prompt delivery of product that meets our customers’ specific requirements," says Tate Forrester, general manager of UPM's Houston operation.

Additionally, the company's titanium distributor, Vulcanium Metals International, has added cobalt chrome moly and stainless steel medical bar grades 304/304L, 316L, Custom 455 and Custom 465 to its offerings. It also has introduced Ti-6AL-4V ELI Titanium Bar Precision Ground.
