ThyssenKrupp Materials NA Introduces Customer Portal

ThyssenKrupp Materials NA Inc., Southfield, Mich., has launched a new customer portal, giving customers of its Copper and Brass Sales division access to real-time, account-specific information and functions such as ordering material and checking inventory. The portal is also mobile-optimized, so customers can access their account at any time, on any platform or device, including smartphones and tablets.

"As consumers have become more mobile-oriented in the past few years, we recognize the need for them to access their account information anytime, anywhere they are," said Joachim Limberg, CEO of Material Services, ThyssenKrupp AG. "The customer portal is a much-needed tool to increase and expand the ease of access customers have to the documents and business functions they need."

The customer portal is also part of a larger global project that will bring other ThyssenKrupp Materials international businesses into the same portal, offering a global network for customers. Currently, the portal is available for Copper and Brass Sales unit customers, while other TKMNA customers will have the ability to manage their accounts in the near future, the company claims.

"We are committed to making our customers' jobs, and their ability to work with us, easier," says Frank Kevane, president and CEO of Copper and Brass Sales. "Night or day, wherever they are, customers can find information they need. It's a unique service we feel sets us apart from the other options in the marketplace, and one we will continue to develop to better fit our customers’ needs."

Portal functions include shipment tracking and options to perform a variety of reporting tasks for quotes, delivery notices, invoices, material safety data sheets, mill test reports and order history. Additionally, customers can release orders from contracts and view their customer-specific inventory.

Current Copper and Brass Sales customers can register for access to their account on the ThyssenKrupp Materials NA Customer Portal at http://b2b.tkmna.com.
