Samuel, Son & Co., Mississauga, Ont., has acquired Stanrail Corp., Gary, Ind. Stanrail is a designer, manufacturer and distributor of railcar components, operating from a 155,000-square-foot facility.

Stanrail will become part of Samuel’s Roll Form Group. Nancy Beckley will serve as general manager/controller of Stanrail.

“Stanrail has a broad customer base in the railway industry that will provide us with a significant opportunity to promote our components within the industry,” says Rick Balaz, president of the Roll Form Group. “Stanrail’s engineering department will provide the Roll Form Group with enhanced resources in product development.”

The Roll Form Group supplies a variety of industries with roll-formed metal products in four main segments: road and rail transportation, heavy construction building products and custom forming.
