Patrick Anderson has been named the interim chief financial officer at A.M. Castle & Co., Oak Brook, Ill. He replaces Scott Stephens, who has left the company to pursue other opportunities. Anderson has been the company's vice president, corporate controller and chief accounting officer. "Scott helped build a strong financial team at the company that positions us well to continue to execute our turnaround strategy," says Scott Dolan, CEO of A.M. Castle. "I'm also excited that we have a strong contributor like Pat to insert into the CFO role. We are highly confident in Pat's abilities to keep our transformation on track as we evaluate candidates for the permanent role as CFO."
Andrew Markowitz has been promoted to the newly created position of vice president of sales and marketing, specialty metals, for Olympic Steel, Cleveland. Additionally, Jerrold Gideon has been promoted to general manager, Integrity Stainless.
Mike Mills has joined Aerodyne Alloys LLC, South Windsor, Conn., as territory manager. He will manage the company’s Southeastern Region.
Brad Hite has joined O'Neal Flat Rolled Metals as general manager of the company's Lynchburg, Va., facility. He will have full management responsibilities for the Mid-Atlantic Region, including sales, operations, inventory and maintaining a working relationship with sister companies in O'Neal Steel.
Direct Metals, Kennesaw, Ga., has hired Bryce Vartensian as an inside sales representative. He will be responsible for developing sales quotes and maintaining the company’s inventory levels.
Kimberly A. Rodriguez has joined Sandmeyer Steel Company, Philadelphia, as district sales manager for the New England territory. She will replace Carl B. Schultz, who retired from the company earlier in the year after 44 years of service.
