Evraz Sells Structural Tubing Business

Evraz North America has sold its structural tubing business in Portland, Ore., to Maruichi Oregon Steel Tube LLC. The operation, formerly known as Columbia Structural Steel, produces hollow structural sections for construction, agricultural and industrial applications. It has 50 employees.

“The structural tubing business does not align with our strategic priorities,” says Conrad Winkler, president and CEO of Evraz North America. “We are pleased to sell it to Maruichi with an agreement to supply a significant part of their steel coil needs.”

Maruichi Oregon Steel Tube is part of the family of companies including Maruichi Steel Tube Ltd., headquartered in Osaka, Japan.
