Alcoa, New York, has made several executive management appointments for its new Upstream and Value-Add companies, which are expected to be in place by the second half of 2016. In the Upstream business, current President of Global Primary Products Roy Harvey will become CEO and William Oplinger, chief financial officer, will retain the same duties. Ken Giacobbe, currently the CFO of Alcoa’s Engineered Products and Solutions business, will serve as CFO of the Value-Add company.

AK Steel has made three executive promotions, effective at the start of the year. Jaime Vasquez has been named vice president, finance and chief financial officer; Gregory Hoffbauer is the new vice president, controller and chief accounting officer; and David Westscott is the new vice president and treasurer for the West Chester, Ohio-based steelmaker.

Klein Steel Service Inc., Rochester, N.Y., has added CEO to President Todd Zyra's title and has appointed Michelle Westrich as chief financial officer. The moves are part of Klein Steel’s long-term succession plan, says chairman and company owner Joe Klein.

Michael Bush has been named vice president of commercial sales for Esmark, Inc., Sewickley, Pa. In his new role, Bush will lead Esmark’s corporate efforts to expand its national accounts footprint across sectors including automotive, building/construction, appliances, metals fabrication and the storage/shelving industries.

Russel Metals, Inc., Mississauga, Ontario, has promoted John G. Reid to president and chief operating officer of the company, effective Jan. 1.

Paul Shannon has been hired as outside sales representative of Tampa Steel & Supply, Tampa, Fla. He has more than 22 years of sales experience.

Marcus A. Howard has joined Sandmeyer Steel Co. as district sales manager for the Southwest territory. He will service customers in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas.
