Reliance Acquires Best Manufacturing

Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. has acquired Best Manufacturing, Inc., Jonesboro, Ark., a custom sheet metal fabricator of steel and aluminum products. The company serves the trucking, agriculture and energy markets, providing laser cutting, shearing, CNC punching, CNC forming and rolling, plus welding, assembly, painting, engineering and inventory management.

Best Manufacturing had approximately $20 million in sales in 2015. It will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Los Angeles-based Reliance, and current management will remain in place.

Acquisition of the fabricator is the second to be completed this year by Reliance, North America’s largest service center company, following its January acquisition of Tubular Steel, Inc.
