Steel Technologies to Expand Mexico Operation

Steel Technologies will expand its Celaya, Mexico, facility by adding 112,000 square feet to serve automotive growth in the region. The company expects to complete the $4.3 million project, which will push the footprint of the facility to 237,000 square feet, by the end of the year.

"We are dedicated to bringing more value to our growing customer base in Central Mexico. This expansion gives us needed space for growth and additional value-add processing equipment planned for the near future," says Carlos von Rossum F., director general of Steel Technologies Mexico.

"The expansion supports our growth strategy and further complements our strong network of steel processing facilities within the country," says Michael J. Carroll, president and CEO of Steel Technologies.
