Westfield Steel Buys Remington Steel

Westfield Steel, Inc., Indianapolis, has agreed to acquire Remington Steel, Springfield, Ohio. Remington is a service center and manufacturer of steel parts.

“This adds production capabilities and machines that further expand our value-added production and manufacturing,” says Westfield Steel President Fritz Prine. “Remington Steel allows us to expand east and southeast, while building new customer relationships.”

Westfield Steel is a material supplier, processor and shipping service. It maintains facilities in Westfield and Terre Haute in Indiana. Formed in 1986, Remington Steel began operations as a carbon steel distribution business before expanding its value-added capabilities in the 1990s.

“We’re so excited to have them as they bring equipment, skilled operators, a reputation for quality manufacturing and a local footprint in central Ohio,” Prine says.
