Tim Triplett Steps Aside from Metal Center News
From Dan Markham, Senior Editor
For the first time in almost two decades, Metal Center News is without the face of the franchise. Tim Triplett, the editor-in-chief and assistant publisher of this publication since 1998, has stepped aside to take on a new challenge in digital media.
My boss for almost a dozen years, Tim was my guide through the intricacies of the metal distribution business. Everything I know about the industry, and trade magazine publishing, was delivered straight from him. I join with the entire staff of MCN in expressing how much his presence will be missed here.
For communication between you, our readers, and the editorial staff at Metal Center News, we will try to make the transition as smooth as possible. Emails sent to him, and phone calls made to his extension, will forward to my desk, though we ask you begin to use mine, and eventually, the staff replacement for any contact with our department. If, for some reason, emails are bouncing back or calls not forwarded, please contact me directly at email@example.com or phone me at 630-572-0593. I welcome any and all inquiries about MCN, now and in the future.
We are fully committed to delivering the same high-quality magazine you’ve come to expect under Tim’s direction in the months and years to come, and your continued support will aid that effort.
You can read Tim’s farewell column in the June issue of Metal Center News. We wish him the absolute best in the next chapter in his metals industry career, and thank him for all he’s done for our publication.
