Executive of the Year Nominees Sought

As 2017 heads into its final four months, here at Metal Center News we turn our attention to our year-end honor, the Service Center Executive of the Year. This year’s recipient will become the 21st honoree.

Since its inception in 2007 with maiden winner Michael Siegal of Olympic Steel, the Executive of the Year honor has been the premier honor for North America’s service center operators. The list of winners is a who's who of the metal distribution business, including last year’s recipient, Craft O'Neal of O'Neal Industries.

The award recognizes individuals who have been leaders of their companies, the distribution industry and in their communities. They are executives who serve as a model for the rest of the service center sector to emulate.

Anyone can nominate an executive for the honor. Simply send a letter or email to me explaining how and why your nominee deserves consideration for this prestigious honor. The more detail you can provide, the easier it will be for us to choose another worry name to add to our list.

We will accept nominees through the end of October. The winner will be announced at the end of the year, and he or she will be featured in the December issue of Metal Center News.
