Steel Warehouse Acquires Siegal Steel

South Bend, Ind.-based Steel Warehouse has acquired Siegal Steel, Chicago. Terms of the deal were not announced.

Siegal Steel is a flat-rolled steel processor, providing heavy gauge high carbon steel, low carbon steel, high-strength low alloy and stainless steel materials. The company’s processing capabilities include edging, oscillate winding and slitting.

Siegal's reputation for industry-leading quality and operational excellence along with their long-standing customer base adds to the strength of the Steel Warehouse organization, say executives from Steel Warehouse. The 77-year-old company will continue to operate under the Siegal Steel name, with current management, operating teams and location providing customers the excellent service and products they have come to expect, executives say.

Steel Warehouse is North America’s 13th-largest service center company, with $1 billion in sales in 2016. The company celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2017.
