Cosen's MechaLogix System Monitors Blade Life

Cosen Saws, Charlotte, N.C., offers MechaLogix Cosen Predictive Computing, a cloud-based system that monitors the performance of a blade and can accurately forecast the number of remaining cutting hours left before a saw blade dulls and is no longer cutting with precision.

MechaLogix provides real-time performance data and can report issues such as excessive vibration, overheating and changes in fluid line pressure, which can then be addressed to minimize downtime. In addition to providing advance notice of required blade replacement, the technology monitors motors and bearings and provides information on overall machine health and consumables. It also can provide production reports to aid in identifying best practices and training needs.
