Mazak Tube Laser Uses Direct-Diode Technology

Mazak Optonics Corp. Elgin, Ill., offers the VCL-T100, a tube production laser that utilizes direct-diode laser technology. The company claims it delivers higher efficiency and reliability than traditional fiber or other solid-state laser generation systems. It is designed as a cost-effective solution for cutting low- to mid-volume tubes up to 4 inches round, 3 inches square and standard lengths up to 12 feet. It also has the ability to cut flat sheets up to 20 inches by 24 inches at ¼-inch thick. The compact system has a smaller footprint.
