TECHNI Waterjet Uses ‘Direct Servo’ Technology

TECHNI Waterjet, Lenexa, Kan., offers the Intec 510-G2 waterjet cutting machine. The 5- by 10-foot system features the latest Generation Four QUANTUM NXT ESP66 electric servo pump, the PAC 60 five-axis cutting head for taper elimination and 60-degree bevel cutting, as well as the company’s advanced diagnostics package with virtual maintenance intelligence.

The Quantum NXT ESP66 incorporates core “direct servo” technology, which replaces old-fashioned hydraulic cylinders with new, highly compact, infinitely controllable Servo Linear Actuators. The actuators make for ultra-high pressure waterjet cutting pumps that are 60 percent more
efficient than standard hydraulic intensifier pumps. They also use 75 percent less cooling water and are easier to maintain, the company claims.
