Bushman Hydraulic Lifters Boost Productivity

Bushman Equipment, Inc., Menomonee Falls, Wis., offers the Bushman Model M5600H hydraulically powered sheet lifter. When used with an overhead crane, the lifter improves plant productivity and reduces maintenance costs, the company claims.

A tightly stacked and banded bundle of cut-to-length sheets is easy for any lifter to handle, but trying to lift multiple bundles with an electric motorized lifter can be troublesome if the bundles are not perfectly aligned. The Bushman Model M5600H has the muscle to straighten misaligned stacks and eliminates high maintenance components. It uses premium-quality hydraulic cylinders to open and close the legs. A compact hydraulic power unit is mounted and protected within the structural frame. High closing forces are generated by the legs, allowing them to easily straighten stacks to make a secure lift. If the pressure limit is reached, hydraulic fluid bypasses through a relief valve to the reservoir. There are no mechanical gearboxes, no slip clutch, no drive chains or sprockets that could fail.

Bushman sheet and plate lifters are engineered-to-order in capacities through 30 tons. They are designed for AC or DC power supplies, even battery-powered.
