NTS Heads West 

National Tube Supply Co. will relinquish its distinction as the nation’s largest single-location inventory of mechanical tubing with its first westward expansion. The Illinois-based distributor will open a facility in California by the end of the year.

“We have always covered all of North America out of our University Park location in Illinois," says Terry Flanary, director of sales and marketing for NTS. "Logistically, it is difficult to provide the service level in the West that we want and our customers expect. It is time to get closer to our accounts on the West Coast."

The new 50,000-square-foot facility will be located in Moreno Valley, Calif., and will feature the same inventory as its University Park operation, including hot-finished seamless, carbon/alloy mechanical tubing, heavy wall pipe, DOM mechanical tubing, cold- drawn seamless carbon tubing, honed fluid power products and chrome bar.

"Our active customer base in the West has grown to the point where we can support a facility, knowing we can then better service our customer base, as well as expand it," he adds.
