IMS Opens Irvine Metal Store

West Coast distributor and retailer Industrial Metal Supply Co. has opened an expanded and updated location in Irvine, Calif. The facility encompasses 12,000 square feet of sales space and 18,000 square feet of warehouse space. The warehouse space will hold the company’s selection of metals, a new retail express counter and additional product lines.

“Offering the broadest in-stock selection of metals and supplies, this new location fulfills the immediate metal needs of our industrial clients in the Orange County area,” says IMS President Eric Steinhauer. “As part of our new store strategy, we will continue to open these metal stores throughout the West to get closer to our customers and reduce their time away from the shop.”

A wide range of businesses—from machine and job shops to fabricators, welders and OEMs—now have even greater options to get what they need, when they need it, the company claims. Items that are not in stock are brought in from another facility within one day or brokered to meet the customer’s request. In addition, IMS offers on-site shearing, band sawing, aluminum precision plate sawing, waterjet cutting and 6-axis 3D tube laser cutting.
