Scott Brass Buys Aluminum Services

Scott Brass and Aluminum has expanded its services and production by purchasing the assets of Aluminum Services LLC. The company will be renamed Scott Aluminum and operate as a minimill, specializing in a limited group of alloys with short lead times.

John Eddy will serve as president of Scott Aluminum and oversee the day-to-day operations. Eddy has more than 50 years of experience in the aluminum business. David Martinelli will be in charge of sales for the new company, which will act in tandem with Scott Brass, a privately held sister corporation located in Cranston, R.I. The aluminum mill is located in Clarksburg, W.Va., with easy access to U.S. Route 50 and Interstate 179.

Scott Aluminum will operate from a facility with recently updated equipment, a modern ERP system and contemporary offices. This investment, along with recent capital equipment investments at Scott Brass, positions Scott Brass and Aluminum as a premier reroller of copper, brass and aluminum, claim company officials.
