RBI Tech Support Hosts Minneapolis Seminar

RBI Tech Support will host a coil processing seminar at the Minneapolis Airport Marriott in Bloomington, Minn., on April 5. Attendees will learn about blanking, multi-blanking, leveling, slitting, and a new process, EPS, for hot-rolled black material. The seminar will cover how to apply new technology, improve tolerances, produce optimum flatness in material and maximize overall efficiency.

Featured speakers will include Dean Linders, vice president of marketing and sales for Red Bud Industries; Tom Hazen, formerly of Herr-Voss and now a consultant to the metals processing industry; Al Zelt, an expert in slitting technology; and Rick Thomas, director of EPS Projects at The Material Works in Red Bud, Ill.

The seminar will conclude with a tour of Olympic Steel, Plymouth, Minn., where the attendees will be able to view a 0.375-inch by 72-inch wide Red Bud cut-to-length/blanking line with stretcher leveler in operation.
