Hypertherm named top place to work by Forbes

By on

Hypertherm, the Hanover, N.H.-based manufacturer of industrial cutting systems and software, has been selected as one of the best midsize employers by Forbes Magazine. Hypertherm was No. 30 on the list, and the second-ranked business among engineering and manufacturing companies.

Forbes teamed up with market research company Statista to pinpoint the companies liked best by employees. The rankings are divided into two lists: one for large companies with more than 5,000 employees and another for midsize companies like Hypertherm that employ between 1,000 and 5,000 people.

To create the list, Statista surveyed 30,000 Americans working for both large and midsize employers.

Surveys were anonymous, allowing participants to openly share their opinions. Respondents were asked to rate the likelihood of recommending their employer to others, in addition to answering questions related to working conditions, salary, potential for development and company image. Respondents also had the opportunity to nominate organizations in industries outside their own. The final list ranks the employers receiving the most recommendations.
