The Copper and Brass Servicenter Association has canceled its annual convention for the second straight year. The event, which would have been the 70th annual meeting, had been scheduled for April 13-15 in San Diego.
The CBSA is now putting together a Red Metals Summit, scheduled for the fall. No firm date and location has been determined, but the association expects to conduct it the week of Sept. 27.
A message on the CBSA website says the summit is not designed as a “convention lite”, but a new way for CBSA to help its members understand the industry. The association does not plan to hold the summit at a resort destination, but a more convenient space in a city center.
The summit will feature:
• Two full days of programming
• Industry experts addressing timely topics
• Valuable takeaways you can use immediately
• An easy-to-access location
• An opportunity to network with your peers during a dinner event
More information will be announced by the CBSA in the months ahead.
