The North American Steel Alliance has added Center Steel Sales Inc. as its newest member company. NASA is North America’s largest metals purchasing cooperative.
Center Steel Sales, founded in the 1979, is a family-owned and operated flat-roll service center based in Allen Park, Mich.
“We’re an ‘old soul’ company based on loyalty almost to a fault. We live by the golden rule, and that has served us well for nearly five decades. I know many great folks in NASA and I can’t wait to meet the rest,” said David Barr, owner of Center Steel Sales, which distributes cut-to-length sheets and plates in hot-rolled and floor plate to customers in the Midwest.
“The NASA community welcomes Center Steel Sales, Inc. to the co-op. The addition of members like Center Steel Sales, Inc., further increases the cooperative’s buying power and reach throughout North America,” said Mike Wagner, president of North American Steel Alliance.
Earlier in the month, Enmark Systems joined NASA as an operational supplier. Enmark Systems provides and supports the ENITEO ERP software system, designed exclusively for metal service centers. ENITEO is a complete and integrated ERP software package that handles all forms and grades of metal, including carbon steel, stainless, aluminum and exotic alloys.
“I’m pleased to welcome Enmark Systems to the NASA network of Preferred Suppliers,” said Wagner. “Many of our Members already utilize Enmark’s software. They are a good addition to the co-op with the technology and ERP solutions they offer to service centers.”
