The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will invest more than $100 million from the Biden administration’s Investing in America agenda to expand recycling infrastructure and waste management systems across the country.

Robin Wiener, president of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries, offered his organization’s support for the plan. “We applaud the administration for making this substantial investment in residential recycling. The importance of recycling has never been greater or more essential to daily life. America’s supply chain relies on recycled materials. This funding will improve the efficacy of our residential recycling programs and increase awareness about the importance of recycling.”
