Red Metal Shipments Up in February

Service center shipments of red metal products climbed 18.4 percent in February, compared with the same month in 2017, reports the Copper and Brass Servicenter Association.
Total copper shipments in February were up 24 percent to 8 million pounds, while alloy shipments increased 13 percent to 7.5 million pounds.
Shipments of copper and alloy products through the first two months of 2018 increased 15.8 percent to 37.3 million pounds. Copper shipments were up 16.9 percent through two months to 19.2 million pounds, while alloy shipments were up 14.6 percent to 18.1 million pounds.
