Aluminum shipments from service centers continued to decline in April, the Metals Service Center Institute reported in its latest Metals Activity Report.
U.S. service center steel shipments increased 0.3 percent in April compared with the same month last year. Shipments of aluminum products declined 12.1 percent from April 2022.
Canadian service center steel shipments were up 1.6 percent in April compared with the prior year. Shipments of aluminum products fell 3.6 percent from April 2022.
