Bradbury's D'Alonso Passes Away at 67

Steel industry veteran Alexander D’Alfonso passed away at his home in Burlington, Ontario, Wednesday, Aug. 3 at the age of  67. He had spent the last 15 years of his career with the Bradbury Group, most recently serving as sales director of coils processing systems.

After graduating from the Mohawk College Control System Engineering Program in 1975, he worked for Stelco for 10 years before moving on to New Zealand Steel in 1986 as a hot strip electrical engineer. He returned to Canada with Reliance Electric Company, then moved into sales, first with PRO-ECO in 1991 and with Avon Engineering from 2003-07.

He joined Bradbury Group in 2007, starting as director of process lines and Latin American sales.

He is survived by his wife Angelica, six children and 12 grandchildren.
