Harbor Steel & Supply Corp. will invest nearly $2.5 million to expand its Holland, Mich., facility. The company is building a 34,000-square-foot expansion at the location, primarily to handle additional inventory.
“The Holland community has been a home to Harbor Steel since 1986. The humble beginnings of a start-up operation to our fifth expansion is a testament to this vibrant and dynamic marketplace,” said Stephen B. Heneveld, the company's recently retired COO.
Holland Charter Township approved support for the project in the form of a 12-year Industrial Facilities Tax Exemption. The investment was facilitated by Lakeshore Advantage, an economic development organization in Western Michigan.
Harbor Steel is an established, full-line metal service center. The company has four Michigan locations, plus two other operations in West Virginia and Kentucky.
