Hudson Opens Stocking Location in Colorado

By on
Hudson Tool Steel Corp. has opened its fifth stocking location in Longmont, Colo. The company is partnering with Beck Sales, a specialty tubing, valve and fitting supplier, to process and distribute Hudson’s tool steel products to the Colorado market.

“Tool steel on the floor and a great partner in Beck Sales gives Hudson the opportunity to get tool steel close to those customers, which means better, faster service to a strong Colorado market” said Rick Resner, president of Hudson Tool Steel.

In addition to Colorado, Hudson operates distribution and processing centers in Illinois, California, New Hampshire and North Carolina.

In other news, Hudson has purchased seven new Amada saws. The company purchased a PC430X Pulse Saw, two VM2500 plate saws, the HFA1000 40-inch by 43-inch Precision Block Saw, one HA400W and two HA250W cut-off saws.

Five of the saws will go to Hudson’s location in Rockford, Ill. Two others will be installed at its Charlotte, N.C., facility. The additions bring the total to 38 saws in use in the company’s original four locations.

“Hudson has added 14 new Amada saws in the past two years,” Resner said. “We feel it is essential to have the most advanced technology processing tool steels for our customers.   This new Amada equipment meets that goal.”

Hudson Tool Steel stocks all standard grades and sizes of tool steel as well as high-speed steel and specialty grades. Hudson Tool Steel delivers material cut-to-order, on-size or oversize, including precision ground flat stock, standard flat or round bar stock and drill rod, with most orders shipping same day or next day.
