Reliance Completes Tubular Steel Acquisition

Jan. 20, 2016 Reliance Completes Tubular Steel Acquisition Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co., Los Angeles, has completed the acquisition of Tubular Steel, Inc., based in St. Louis, Mo. Tubular Steel is a distributor and processor of carbon, alloy and stainless steel pipe, tubing and bar products. TSI stocks more than 60,000 tons and ships more than two million custom-cut lengths of pipe, tubing and bar products annually from its seven service center locations across the U.S. TSI also maintains a fabrication business in the St. Louis area that supports a diverse customer base. TSI will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Reliance. The company’s current management team will remain in place. In 2014, TSI reported net sales of approximately $200 million. It was the 47th-largest service center company in the most recent Metal Center News Top 50.
