Service center shipments of metal products increased in January compared with the same month in 2022, the Metals Service Center Institute reported.

U.S. service center steel shipments in January increased 7.4 percent in January. Shipments of aluminum products were up 0.1 percent compared with the same month in 2022.

Canadian service center steel shipments increased 4.1 compared with January 2022. Aluminum product shipments from Canadian service centers grew 0.5 percent from the year-ago month.
