STUDSON and Clayco have introduced the first industrial Type II full-brim safety helmet in North America, with STUDSON serving as Clayco’s exclusive provider. The new safety gear will better protect Clayco workers versus the standard type I hard hats that were the industry standard for more than 100 years.

The initial 3,000-unit shipment represents Clayco’s first step in its planned transition to adopt STUDSON safety helmets for all employees across the organization.

In the development of the SHK-1 Full Brim, STUDSON worked closely with Clayco for feedback on what it needed as a company to improve safety and comfort. A key factor in its design was delivering a full-brim version of the SHK-1 style that fit the Clayco brand while offering a familiar feel and wearability but with improved safety.
