Gerdau to Acquire Dale's Recycling

Sep 23, 2024 Gerdau Ameristeel US Inc. will acquire the assets of Dale's Recycling Partnership. Dale's is engaged in the operation, processing and recycling of ferrous and nonferrous material.
The acquisition includes land, property and fixed assets of associated with Dale's Recycling facilities in Tennessee, Kentucky and Missouri in the United States. Dales Recycling has an annual capacity of 160,000 tons of scrap.
The acquisition was made to increase Gerdau's captive ferrous scrap supply through proprietary channels, supplying raw material to its operations at a competitive cost. Gerdau also clarifies that this acquisition is aligned with its strategy of growth and competitiveness of operations through assets with greater potential for long-term value generation and expansion of its presence in more profitable markets for its business.
The transaction was valued at $60 million.
