Leeco Steel, an O’Neal Industries affiliate company and one of the largest suppliers of steel plate in North America, announced the appointment of Jeff Irby as e-commerce product manager and Owen Donaghey as digital commerce manager. The appointments were effective May 1, 2020.
Irby’s position as e-commerce product manager focuses on the development, implementation and management of product pricing strategies and customer buying trends. He works closely with Mr. Donaghey, as well as with sales and purchasing teams.
In his new role as digital commerce manager, Donaghey is responsible for leading the company’s implementation of a digital customer dashboard and e-commerce platform. He also works closely with sales leadership to incorporate sales technology and digital customer tools into overall sales strategy.
These newly-created roles are designed to lead new digital sales initiatives for the company. Both positions will report to Leeco Steel’s executive vice president, Jason Fredstrom.
“As Leeco Steel continues to develop its digital sales and marketing strategies, we felt a need for distinct leadership in what we feel is the next chapter for Leeco, as well as our industry,” said Fredstrom. “Given their deep understanding of our industry and business, Jeff and Owen are the perfect team to spearhead this initiative.”
Irby joined Leeco Steel in 2000 and served in sales roles until promoted to director of product control on Leeco’s purchasing team in 2010. Donaghey joined Leeco Steel’s sales team in 2011 before joining Irby’s team in 2013 as product control coordinator.
“Jeff and Owen have been tremendously successful in advancing and modernizing our sales operations,” said Denton Nordhues, president and CEO of Leeco Steel. “Their drive and vision will help us advance and modernize in new ways in the years to come, and we look forward to supporting their efforts.”
