Zekelman Hosts Customer Appreciation Event

By on
Zekelman, the largest independent steel pipe and tube manufacturer in North America, donated $35,000 to local and national charities as part of its annual Customer Appreciation Event. This year’s activities took place over two days in Warren, Ohio, concluding with a golf outing.

On behalf of the winning team, Zekelman donated $20,000 to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, an organization dedicated to ending veteran homelessness and aiding victims of major U.S. disasters. Some of the organization’s initiatives include providing mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families with young children and building custom smart homes for injured veterans and first responders.

Additionally, Zekelman donated $10,000 on behalf of the second-place team to Common Voices, an advocates’ coalition that works to spread fire safety awareness across America with the message that “fire sprinklers save lives.”

The third-place team’s donation was $5,000 to Prince of Peace, a non-profit social service agency. This agency works to build community and reduce poverty throughout Mercer County and provides support through education, empowerment and advocacy.
