Ulbrich Installs Braner Slitting and Packaging Line

Braner/Loopco has installed a precision Hi-Performance Turret Head Slitting and Packaging Line for Ulbrich of Illinois. The line is designed to process surface-critical stainless coil in gauges from 0.020 inches through 0.187 inches. 

The slitting line features a precision quick-change Turret Head slitter with a threadless CloverNut tooling lock-up, a recoiler drum that can change from 16-inch to 20-inch ID coils in five minutes, PVC film laminating, paper interleaving, discrete heavy-gauge Hi-Torque and thin gauge Hi-Speed cruise control operating modes, an exit car that presents slit coils CW and CCW to the packaging line and automatic ANDIAMO coil threading. 

The automatic slit coil pack line can handle coils to 10,000 pounds and includes automatic operator-less slit coil downending and stacking.  The new line is the third Braner/Loopco slitter operating in the Ulbrich of Illinois plant.
