Aug 30, 2017Terry Rohde has been promoted to director of operations at Olympic Steel Inc, Cleveland. Joining the company in 2001, Rohde was promoted to general manager of the Chicago division in 2008. As director of operations, he will oversee all Olympic Steel facilities and equipment. Additionally, Scott Besunder was named general manager of Olympic Steel’s Gary, Ind., division. He joined the company in 2004 and has been purchasing and material manager at the Gary division since 2014.
Del Land has been appointed chief financial officer for Pacesetter Steel Services, Atlanta. He replaces Jon Rapaport, who retired from the company after 34 years of service.
Tate Forrester has been appointed vice president of sales and marketing by O’Neal Steel, Birmingham, Ala. He joined the company in 2009, and had been most recently serving as director of corporate development at O’Neal Industries.
Shaun Eller was recently named chief operating officer at Ohio Gratings Inc., Canton, Ohio. Eller has been with the full-line grating manufacturer for 22 years. In his new role, Eller will oversee Ohio Gratings’ day-to-day operations.
Braidy Industries announced several key executives to oversee construction of a recently announced aluminum rolling mill in South Shore, Ky. Among those added to the executive management team are: Blaine Holt, executive vice president of operations; Thomas Modrowski, executive vice president of construction and facilities; Alan Blankshain, executive vice president of engineering; and Barrington Owens, executive vice president of manufacturing.
Adam Smelewski has joined Mazal Optonics Corp., Elgin, Ill., as national sales manager. He will be in charge of sales growth in North America for the laser cutting equipment manager.
