By on

Former President Donald J. Trump visited Alro Steel in Potterville, Mich., Aug. 29, for a private event focused on manufacturing, the economy and inflation. Michigan is again expected to be one of the most important battleground states in the U.S. presidential election.

Randy Glick, CEO of Alro Steel, kicked off the event talking about manufacturing in the United States.

Glick talked about several issues related to the economy, education and manufacturing.  Four talking points included inflation, fair trade, K-12 education and government regulations affecting manufacturing.  He noted the Potterville facility holds 72 million pounds of metals.

Alro Steel, founded in 1948 by brothers Al and Robert Glick in Jackson, Mich., is one of North America's largest service center companies, ranking ninth in the most recent MCN Top 50.
