Dec 21, 2016Dec. 21, 2016 Russel Acquires Jackson Pipe & Steel JMS Russel Metals Corp. has acquired the operating assets of Jackson Pipe & Steel, a Texarkana, Texas-based distributor. JMS is a subsidiary of Russel Metals, Inc., Mississauga, Ontario. “We are extremely pleased to welcome Jackson Pipe's customers and employees to the JMS Russel Metals team,” says John Reid, Russel’s president and chief operating officer. “The addition of key employees, their facility and equipment will complement the existing JMS facility in Hope, Ark., and enable us to enhance our value-added services, plus increase market share in Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Louisiana, the areas previously serviced by Jackson Pipe." Jackson Pipe, founded in 1993, supplies carbon steel, stainless and aluminum products. It offers CNC saw cutting, plasma cutting, drilling and machining.
