Mayville Engineering Company has acquired Defiance Metal Products, Defiance, Ohio. DMP is a manufacturer of metal products for the commercial vehicle, agriculture, construction and military industries. 

DMP is a full-service fabricator and contract manufacturer with facilities two facilities in the Defiance area, one in Heber Springs, Ark., and another in Bedford, Pa. MEC is an employee-owned group with 16 facilities in five states. It provides a range of industrial services. 

Steve Mance will remain with the new company as president of DMP and will be involved in integrating the two companies.
